Ed anche l’attesissimo ultimo Meeting dell’anno, l’immancabile “Pranzo di Natale” è giunto al termine con grande partecipazione dei soci iscritti che hanno raggiunto Catania dalle provincie di Ragusa, Catania, Messina, Palermo, Enna e Siracusa!!!!
Ci siamo ritrovati quindi nella splendida località di Catania con i numerosi equipaggi che sono giunti sul posto già sabato 16 e dopo cena (dove alcuni soci si sono lanciati senza alcun freno inibitorio con il karaoke presente nel locale) abbiamo trascorso la serata con diverse sessioni di “TOMBOLA NATALIZIA” distribuendo ai vincitori alcuni tra i doni fornitici dai partner dell’evento.
Domenica mattina con il resto degli equipaggi che sono confluiti al punto d’incontro dopo le incombenze “tecniche” di ogni meeting abbiamo dato il via al percorso previsto per la giornata, che si è snodato senza alcun intoppo ed abbiamo iniziato le visite ai due musei prescelti.
Ci siamo quindi addentrati all’interno del magnifico “Museo dello sbarco in Sicilia 1943”, dedicato allo storico avvenimento durante la seconda guerra mondiale, che ha segnato l’inizio della liberazione di tutta l’Italia dall’occupazione tedesca. Abbiamo quindi ripercorso grazie agli itinerari interattivi ed alla fedeli riproduzioni dei luoghi le tappe degli scontri di guerra che si svolsero soprattutto nelle località della Sicilia occidentale come Augusta, Gela, Floridia Troina, Catania e Messina.
Di seguito abbiamo visitato l’annesso “Museo del Cinema”, che si estende su un’area di 900 mq su due elevazioni, luogo che raccoglie documenti riguardanti l’arte cinematografica, le sue tecniche e la sua storia, con particolare riguardo alla relazione tra il Cinema e la Sicilia, ed abbiamo avuto modo di ammirare le foto dei set delle riprese dei film di Rossellini, Visconti, Bolognini, Antonioni, Germi, Rosi, Pasolini e tanti altri, che hanno avuto un forte legame con la nostra isola e con la sua letteratura, visionando inoltre numerose locandine di film ed un set ispirato alle riprese del film “Il Padrino”
A visite ultimate, un ulteriore giro per le vie della città, e abbiamo raggiunto a Riposto il “Ristorante AI TRE MASSI” dove abbiamo degustato l’ottimo menù elaborato per l’occasione . Durante il variegato pranzo abbiamo distribuito gli ormai consueti doni natalizi ai nostri piccoli Smartisti presenti e consegnato i premi dei concorsi lanciati durante l’anno, il “CONTEST 2023” esteso a tutti gli Smartisti presenti nel nostro gruppo facebook ed il “SOCIAL 2023” rivolto esclusivamente ai soci tesserati del Sicilia Smart Club, ed il “PREMIO FEDELTA 2023” ai soci che si sono contraddistinti con la loro partecipazione ai Meeting durante l’anno.
Il nostro particolare ringraziamento va inoltre alle ditte che in qualità di “Partners dell’evento” hanno contribuito alla realizzazione del meeting!!!
And also the long-awaited last Meeting of the year, the inevitable “Christmas Lunch” came to an end with great participation of the registered members who reached Catania from the provinces of Ragusa, Catania, Messina, Palermo, Enna and Syracuse!!!
We then found ourselves in the beautiful town of Catania with the numerous crews who arrived on site as early as Saturday 16 and after dinner (where some members threw themselves without any inhibition with the karaoke present in the restaurant) we spent the evening with several sessions of “CHRISTMAS BINGO” distributing to the winners some of the gifts provided to us by the partners of the event.
On Sunday morning, with the rest of the crews who converged at the meeting point, after the “technical” tasks of each meeting, we started the route planned for the day, which unfolded without any hitch and we began the visits to the two chosen museums.
We then entered the magnificent “Museum of the landing in Sicily 1943”, dedicated to the historic event during the Second World War, which marked the beginning of the liberation of all of Italy from German occupation. Thanks to the interactive itineraries and faithful reproductions of the places, we have retraced the stages of the war clashes that took place especially in the towns of western Sicily such as Augusta, Gela, Floridia Troina, Catania and Messina.
Afterwards we visited the adjoining “Museum of Cinema”, which covers an area of 900 square meters on two floors, a place that collects documents concerning the art of cinema, its techniques and its history, with particular regard to the relationship between Cinema and Sicily, and we had the opportunity to admire the photos of the filming sets of Rossellini’s films, Visconti, Bolognini, Antonioni, Germi, Rosi, Pasolini and many others, who had a strong bond with our island and its literature, also viewing numerous film posters and a set inspired by the filming of the film “The Godfather”
At the end of the visits, a further tour through the streets of the city, and we reached the “Restaurant AI TRE MASSI” in Riposto where we tasted the excellent menu prepared for the occasion. During the varied lunch we distributed the now customary Christmas gifts to our little Smartists present and delivered the prizes of the competitions launched during the year, the “CONTEST 2023” extended to all Smartists present in our facebook group and the “SOCIAL 2023” aimed exclusively at registered members of the Sicilia Smart Club, and the “FEDELTA AWARD 2023” to members who distinguished themselves with their participation in the Meetings during the year.
