Anche l’attesissimo ultimo Meeting dell’anno, l’immancabile “Pranzo di Natale” è giunto al termine con grande partecipazione dei soci iscritti che hanno raggiunto San Cataldo dalle provincie di Trapani, Siracusa, Catania, Palermo, Enna e Caltanissetta!!!!
Il percorso previsto per questo Meeting si è snodato senza alcun intoppo e gli intervenuti hanno agilmente raggiunto il punto iniziale confluendo nella centralissima Piazza Giovanni Paolo XXIII.
Li siamo stati raggiunti da un equipaggio molto particolare…….. il Sicilia Smart Club ha avuto l’onore di ospitare in questo Meeting la Polizia di Stato, che è giunta sul posto in rappresentanza del Corpo con la loro bellissima Smart 451 con i colori d’Istituto unitamente al Vice Sovrintendente Santo COSTA ed all’Assistente Marco VASSALLO, a cui vanno i nostri ringraziamenti ed in special modo al Commissario Salvatore FALZONE ed al Sig. QUESTORE della Questura di Caltanissetta Dott. Emanuele RICIFARI che hanno reso possibile questa esclusiva presenza al nostro Meeting.
La Smart 451 della Polizia di Stato è prioritariamente destinata ai servizi di pattugliamento in particolari aree del territorio cittadino, come il centro storico, caratterizzato da stradine strette ed a traffico limitato, riuscendo a districarsi più agilmente.
Da li, dopo un’abbondante colazione con i prelibati cornetti e l’ottimo caffè preparati dalla Pasticceria Crema e Cioccolato di Leonardo CORDARO, gentilmente offerti dal consigliere e nostro referente organizzatore sul posto Luigi VULLO (che ha organizzato il tutto unitamente al caro amico Vincenzo PALMERI), le auto partecipanti al meeting hanno effettuato un ampio giro della cittadina, con la Smart 451 della Polizia di Stato in testa, ed i cittadini hanno avuto modo di notare la colonna di auto che ha attraversato le vie del centro, per poi fermarsi innanzi al Palazzo Comunale dove le auto sono rimaste in esposizione.
Dopo aver consegnato all’equipaggio della Polizia di Stato una targa ricordo per la Questura di Caltanissetta in ringraziamento alla loro gentilissima e graditissima presenza, i convenuti hanno iniziato il tour predisposto per la scoperta della città, ed in particolare del suo centro storico.
Le nostre gentilissime guide, Claudio ARCARESE e Salvatore GIGANTE dell’Associazione Amico Medico a cui è stata consegnata una targa ricordo di ringraziamento, ci hanno quindi guidati facendoci ammirare le bellissime “Vare” dei misteri del Venerdì Santo, i “Sanpaoloni” temporaneamente custoditi all’interno della loro sede, il “Complesso Monumentale del “Calvario”, la Torre dell’Orologio con la particolarissima “Scalinata Monumentale”, “U Rato’” dove Michele FALZONE, Presidente dell’Associazione Il Pettirosso ci ha illustrato l’iniziativa della mostra dei presepi artigianali esposti in loco.
Prima di lasciare la cittadina di San Cataldo abbiamo incontrato il Sindaco Dott. Gioacchino COMPARATO e l’Assessore Dott. Salvatore EMMA che ci hanno ringraziato per aver scelto la loro cittadina per il nostro meeting conclusivo dell’anno ed in ringraziamento alla disponibilità e cortesia è stata loro consegnata una targa ricordo del Meeting.
Ultima visita in programma al graziosissimo “Presepe di GABARA” e da li è stato successivamente raggiunta la tappa conclusiva del giorno, il Ristorante Agriturismo “TORRETELLA” dove abbiamo degustato le prelibatezze locali.
Tra una portata e l’altra abbiamo comunicato i “VINCITORI DEL CONTEST 2022”, concorso che durante l’anno ha avuto una grossa partecipazione, con 377 immagini partecipanti, che hanno totalizzato 27.011 voti di cui 4.588 sul gruppo facebook del Sicilia Smart Club e 22.423 sul profilo Instagram del Sicilia Smart Club dove le immagini sono state inserite per le votazioni.
Si è quindi aggiudicata la terza posizione, con il Post n° 145 l’amica Smartista TANIA GARATTI che ha totalizzato 31 preferenze su fb e 231 preferenze su Instagram per un totale di 262 voti;
Si è aggiudicato la seconda posizione, con il Post n° 141 l’amico Smartista PESHO TUNING che ha totalizzato 21 preferenze su fb e 253 preferenze su Instagram per un totale di 274 voti;
Prima posizione e VINCITORE della “PRIMA EDIZIONE” del “CONTEST 2022” del Sicilia Smart Club, con il Post n° 23 l’amico Smartista BENEDETTO OLIVA che ha totalizzato 6 preferenze su fb e 274 preferenze su Instagram per un totale di 280 voti!!!!
Si è poi passati al “SORTEGGIO DEL PRANZO DI NATALE” dove, come di consueto vengono estratti i premi gentilmente forniti dai Partner del Club che ci supportano per questa iniziativa e trovate i loro loghi sulle slide inserite nel nostro sito web.
A conclusione della bellissima giornata trascorsa insieme, uno squisito Panettone “Maximum 3 Kg Fiasconaro” ed un brindisi Augurale per tutti Noi e per tutti coloro che ci seguono anche da lontano con il prelibato “Spumante PRINCIPE DI CORLEONE”!!!!
E con quest’ultimo MEETING si conclude l’anno 2022 del Sicilia Smart Club.
Siamo già da tempo al lavoro per i Meeting che si terranno nel 2023………Appena pronti inseriremo il calendario degli eventi 2023 sul sito.

Even the highly anticipated last Meeting of the year, the inevitable “Christmas Lunch” has come to an end with great participation of registered members who have reached San Cataldo from the provinces of Trapani, Syracuse, Catania, Palermo, Enna and Caltanissetta!!!!
The path planned for this Meeting unfolded without any hitch and the participants easily reached the initial point flowing into the central Piazza Giovanni Paolo XXIII.
We were joined by a very special crew …….. the Sicilia Smart Club had the honor of hosting in this Meeting the State Police, who arrived on site representing the Corps with their beautiful Smart 451 with the colors of the Institute together with the Vice Superintendent Santo COSTA and the Assistant Marco VASSALLO, to whom our thanks go and especially to the Commissioner Salvatore FALZONE and to Mr. QUAESTOR of the Police Headquarters of Caltanissetta Dr. Emanuele RICIFARI who made this possible exclusive presence at our Meeting.
The Smart 451 of the State Police is primarily intended for patrolling services in particular areas of the city, such as the historic center, characterized by narrow streets and limited traffic, managing to extricate itself more easily.
From there, after a hearty breakfast with delicious croissants and excellent coffee prepared by Leonardo CORDARO’s Pasticceria Crema e Cioccolato, kindly offered by the councilor and our organizer on the spot Luigi VULLO (who organized everything together with his dear friend Vincenzo PALMERI), the cars participating in the meeting made a wide tour of the town, with the Smart 451 of the State Police in the lead, and the citizens had the opportunity to notice the column of cars that crossed the streets of the center, and then stopped in front of the Town Hall where the cars remained on display.
After giving the crew of the State Police a commemorative plaque for the Police Headquarters of Caltanissetta in thanks to their very kind and very welcome presence, the participants began the tour prepared for the discovery of the city, and in particular of its historic center.
Our very kind guides, Claudio ARCARESE and Salvatore GIGANTE of the Medical Friend Association to whom a commemorative plaque of thanks was delivered, then guided us making us admire the beautiful “Vare” of the mysteries of Good Friday, the “Sanpaoloni” temporarily kept inside their headquarters, the “Monumental Complex of the “Calvary”, the Clock Tower with the very special “Monumental Staircase”, “U Rato ‘” where Michele FALZONE, President of the Association Il Pettirosso illustrated the initiative of the exhibition of handmade nativity scenes exhibited on site.
Before leaving the town of San Cataldo we met the Mayor Dr. Gioacchino COMPARATO and the Councilor Dr. Salvatore EMMA who thanked us for choosing their town for our final meeting of the year and in thanks to the availability and courtesy they were given a plaque in memory of the Meeting.
Last scheduled visit to the very pretty “Presepe di GABARA” and from there it was subsequently reached the final stage of the day, the Agriturismo Restaurant “TORRETELLA” where we tasted the local delicacies.

At the end of the beautiful day spent together, an exquisite Panettone “Maximum 3 Kg Fiasconaro” and a toast for all of us and for all those who follow us even from afar with the delicious “Spumante PRINCIPE DI CORLEONE”!!!!
And with this last MEETING the year 2022 of the Sicilia Smart Club ends.
We have been working for some time for the Meetings to be held in 2023……… As soon as we are ready we will insert the calendar of events 2023 on the site.
