Partecipatissimo il 3° Meeting del 2025 che ci ha visto percorrere le strade della provincia di Messina il 12 e 13 Aprile per completare le visite dell’itinerario artistico della “Fiumara d’Arte” iniziato lo scorso anno.
Sabato 12 aprile 15 equipaggi hanno quindi partecipato al pre Meeting giungendo al bellissimo albergo “Tus’Hotel” ubicato a Castel di Tusa e, dopo aver consegnato l’abbigliamento griffato del Club ai soci che ne avevano precedentemente fatto richiesta, abbiamo effettuato una visita alla vicina “Santo Stefano di Camastra” , famosissima nel mondo per le sue ineguagliabili ceramiche.
Qui grazie all’amico Giuseppe BOSCIA abbiamo usufruito di un’ottima scontistica sugli acquisti delle ceramiche effettuate presso la ditta artigiana “BARTOLOTTA” che ringraziamo per la loro disponibilità. Visita quindi al belvedere e abbiamo degustato le buonissima “granite” locali, quindi siamo rientrati in albergo per la cena appositamente predisposta per noi dall’impareggiabile Chef Mario DI VITA.
Scatenatissimi i soci dopo cena grazie alla serata organizzata in albergo con musica e balli di gruppo.
Domenica mattina siamo stati raggiunti dagli altri 12 equipaggi partecipanti e la colonna di 27 auto, provenienti dalle province di Palermo, Catania, Siracusa, Agrigento, Messina, Caltanissetta ed Agrigento hanno iniziato il percorso di visite alle opere che si è snodato tra i Comuni di Tusa, Motta d’Affermo, Pettineo e Castel di Lucio guidati dal carissimo Dott. Antonio NOTO, Presidente della PRO LOCO di Motta d’Affermo,
Prima opera visitata “Una curva gettata alle spalle del tempo” dove siamo stati raggiunti da Antonio DI FRANCESCA, componente del direttivo della Pro Loco di Castel di Lucio che ringraziamo per la disponibiltà.
Ultimata la prima visita abbiamo raggiunto la seconda opera in programma e siamo rimasti estasiati dalla bellezza e particolarità del “Labirinto di Arianna”, unico nel suo genere, e li abbiamo approfittato dello spazio antistante l’opera per “Battezzare” la Roadster del nostro nuovo socio Pino TERRAMAGRA e, unitamente alla moglie Vincenza abbiamo proceduto alla “cerimonia” con l’applicazione del”LOGO” del Sicilia Smart Club. Nome scelto per la Roadster “RANOCCHIA” e per l’appunto Pino ha poi offerto i consueti “confetti” con la brillante idea di sceglierli di colore verde!!!
Successiva piccola sosta ai piedi del Labirinto, al punto di ristoro “Al Passo di Eolo di Giuseppina”, dove è possibile gustare i prodotti tipici locali, bibite fresche, ed un’ottimo caffè, il tutto corredato da una grandissima gentilezza e cortesia dei titolari. Oltre alla spettacolare vista che offre il luogo, ci hanno particolarmente colpiti i “vassoi in legno” che sono stati realizzati artigianalmente richiamando il labirinto.
Successiva ultima tappa che ci ha portato a Castel di Lucio, per ammirare l’opera denominata “Arethusa” consistente nell’apposizione di particolari ceramiche sulla facciata della locale Stazione dei Carabinieri.
Rientrati quindi in albergo per il pranzo a base di pesce appositamente elaborato per noi dallo Chef Mario DI VITA che ringraziamo per la grande professionalità e passione che traspare dai suoi piatti, ed abbiamo consegnato le targhe ricordo al Direttore del TUS’HOTEL, Dott. Daniele NIGRELLI, per la grande collaborazione e disponibilità che, unita alla squisita e professionale accoglienza rende la vostra struttura “Speciale”; Al Presidente della PRO LOCO Dott. Antonio NOTO per la grande disponibilità, professionalità ed organizzazione di questa splendida giornata, ed all’amico Giuseppe BOSCIA per la grande disponibilità e collaborazione all’evento.
Successivamente durante il pranzo abbiamo consegnato i gadget 2025 al neo iscritto Pino e dei peluche ai piccoli Greta, Zoe e Leone presenti al Meeting.
Ed anche questa volta siamo arrivati alla fine del Meeting, che si è snodato secondo programma senza alcun intoppo e ci prepariamo dopo i saluti al rientro nelle rispettive province dandoci appuntamento al prossimo Meeting che si effettuerà nella provincia di Palermo il 24 Maggio a Geraci Siculo per assistere alla “Transumanza degli animali” ed il 25 Maggio nella vicina Petralia Soprana per visitare il fantastico “Museo del Sale”.
The 2025 meeting of 2025 which saw us travel the streets of the province of Messina on 12 and 13 April to complete the visits of the artistic itinerary of the “Fiumara d’Arte” started last year.
Saturday 12 April 15 crews then participated in the pre meeting reaching the beautiful “Tus’Hotel” hotel located in Castel di Tusa and, after having delivered the griffed clothing of the club to the members who had previously requested it, we made a visit to the nearby “Santo Stefano di Camastra”, very famous in the world for its unparalleled ceramics.
Here thanks to his friend Giuseppe Boscia we have used an excellent discounts on the purchases of the ceramics made at the “Bartolotta” artisan company that we thank for their availability. Then visit the Belvedere and we tasted the delicious local “Granite”, so we returned to the hotel for dinner specifically prepared for us by the unparalleled chef Mario di Vita.
The members after dinner thanks to the evening organized in the hotel with music and group dances are very unleashed.
On Sunday morning we were reached by the other 12 participating crews and the column of 27 cars, coming from the provinces of Palermo, Catania, Syracuse, Agrigento, Messina, Caltanissetta and Agrigento have started the path of visits to the works that unfolded between the municipalities of Tusa, Motta d’Affermo, Pettineo and Castel di Lucio led by the dear Dr. Antonio Noto, president of the Pro Loco of Motta,
First work visited “A curved curve behind the time” where we were reached by Antonio Di Francesca, member of the board of the Pro Loco of Castel di Lucio who we thank for the availability.
Once the first visit has been completed, we reached the second work scheduled and we were ecstatic by the beauty and peculiarity of the “Labirinto di Arianna”, unique in its kind, and we took them out of the space in front of the work to “baptize” the roadster of our new partner Pino Terramagra and, together with his wife Vincenza we proceeded to the “ceremony” with the application of the “logo” of the Smart Club. Pino then offered the usual “confetti” with the brilliant idea of choosing them of green color !!!
Next small stop at the foot of the labyrinth, to the refreshment point “At the Eolo di Giuseppina pass”, where it is possible to taste the typical local products, fresh drinks, and an excellent coffee, all accompanied by a great kindness and courtesy of the owners. In addition to the spectacular view that the place offers, the “wood trays” that have been handcrafted by recalling the labyrinth have particularly affected us.
Next last stage that led us to Castel Di Lucio, to admire the work called “Arethusa” consisting of the affixing of particular ceramics on the facade of the local Carabinieri station.
Then return to the hotel for the fishing lunch specially elaborated for us by the chef Mario di Vita that we thank for the great professionalism and passion that transpires from his dishes, and we have delivered the plates I remember to the director of the Tus’ Hotel, Dr. Daniele Nigrelli, for the great collaboration and availability that, combined with the exquisite and professional welcome makes your structure “special”; To the president of the Pro Loco Dr. Antonio known for the great availability, professionalism and organization of this wonderful day, and to his friend Giuseppe Boscia for the great availability and collaboration at the event.
Subsequently during lunch we delivered the 2025 gadgets to the new member Pino and the plush to the little ones Greta, Zoe and Leone present at the meeting.
And this time too we arrived at the end of the meeting, which unfolded according to the program without any hitch and we prepare after the greetings on the return to the respective provinces giving us an appointment to the next meeting that will take place in the province of Palermo on May 24 to Geraci Siculo to attend the “transhumance of animals” and on May 25 in nearby Petralia Soprana to visit the fantastic “salt museum”.
