Secondo meeting dell’anno che ha visto protagonisti alcuni dei set cinematrografici della famosissima serie “Il Commissario Montalbano” nonchè affascinanti architetture del luogo, annoverate quali patrimonio dell’UNESCO.
Sabato 8 Marzo già numerosi equipaggi dalle province di Palermo, Trapani, Agrigento, Messina e Caltanissetta si sono messi in viaggio per raggiungere la famosissima località balneare di Marina di Ragusa, dove abbiamo trascorso la notte dopo aver raggiunto l’azienda Agrituristica MAGAZZE’, autentica eccellenza del territorio dove abbiamo gustato una fantastica cena a base di prodotti di Bufala a dir poco spettacolari e, trattandosi dell’8 Marzo, giornata dedicata alla donna, non potevamo non pensare alle nostre donne del Sicilia Smart Club presenti alla cena, difatti abbiamo consegnato ad ognuna di loro un particolare “dono” che abbiamo fatto relizzare appositamente per l’occasione.
Siamo poi partiti domenica 9 marzo da Marina di Ragusa con il resto degli equipaggi che sono arrivati domenica mattina ed abbiamo raggiunto il rinomato Castello di Donnafugata, celebre richiamo del “Gattopardo” di Luchino Visconti e sede dell’insigne barone Corrado Arezzo che ha reso grande il luogo grazie alla sua mente eclettica, li ad attenderci la nostra simpaticissima guida, La Gentilissima Signora ROSA che ci ha guidato all’interno del bellissimo Castello, raccontandoci passo passo la sua storia, la storia del Barone Corrado AREZZO oltre al Parco esterno del Castello con il suo “labirinto” che abbiamo percorso sino al suo centro, per poi uscirne fuori con non poche difficoltà.
Ultimata la visita al castello abbiamo successivamente raggiunta la stranota località di “Punta Secca” ove è ubicata la famosa casa di Montalbano e prima di visitare il luogo, in piazza del Faro abbiamo incontrato le autorità locali del Comune di Santa Croce di Camerina a cui abbiamo consegnato una targa in ricordo del Meeting.
Successivamente abbiamo potuto ammirare uno dei paesaggi marini più famosi della serie del “Commissario Montalbano”, e dopo una breve sosta con passeggiata sulla spiaggia annessa abbiamo raggiunto l’ultima tappa del percorso che prevedeva il pranzo presso l’agriturismo “Il giardino di Bianca” il cui nome si lega profondamente alla storia del paesaggio, ed abbiamo avuto il piacere di degustare i prodotti tipici del territorio ragusano, che hanno deliziato i nostri palati.
Alla fine del pranzo, il gentilissimo Signor Giuseppe FIACCAVENTO, titolare del ristorante ci ha invitato a visitare una particolarissima esposizione di “Presepi” da lui creati.
Ed anche questa volta siamo arrivati alla fine di questi due giorni che abbiamo felicemente trascorso insieme, e pronti per effettuare il rientro alle proprie abitazioni, ci diamo appuntamento al prossimo Meeting dell’anno, che ci farà reincontrare in provincia di MESSINA il 12 e 13 Aprile per il MEETING “FIUMARA D’ARTE”.

According to Meeting of the year that featured some of the film sets of the famous series “Commissioner Montalbano” as well as fascinating local architecture, counted as a UNESCO heritage.
Saturday 8 March already numerous crews from the provinces of Palermo, Trapani, Agrigento, Messina and Caltanissetta went on travel to reach the famous seaside resort of Marina di Ragusa, where we spent the night after reaching the Farrritourism Magazine company ‘, authentic excellence of the territory where we enjoyed a fantastic dinner based on buffalo products to say the least spectacular and, being a day dedicated to 8 March, Woman, we could not fail to think about our women of Sicily Smart Club present at the dinner, in fact we delivered to each of them a particular “gift” that we have made it rendered specifically for the occasion.
We then left on Sunday 9 March from Marina di Ragusa with the rest of the crews who arrived on Sunday morning and we reached the renowned Castle of Donnafugata, a famous call of the “Gattopardo” of Luchino Visconti and the seat of the insigne Barone Corrado Arezzo who made the place great thanks to his eclectic mind, to await us our very nice guide, the very kind pink lady who guided us inside the beautiful castle, telling us Having step by step his story, the history of Baron Corrado Arezzo as well as in the outer park of the castle with its “labyrinth” that we traveled to its center, and then comes out of it with many difficulties.
Once the visit to the Castle has been completed, we subsequently reached the strange location of “Dry Punta” where the famous house of Montalbano is located and before visiting the place, in Piazza del Faro we met the local authorities of the Municipality of Santa Croce di Camerina to which we delivered a plaque in memory of the meeting.
Subsequently we were able to admire one of the most famous seaside landscapes in the series of the “Commissioner Montalbano”, and after a short stop with a walk on the attached beach we reached the last stage of the route that provided for lunch at the farmhouse “Il Giardino di Bianca” whose name is deeply linked to the history of the landscape, and we had the pleasure of tasting the typical products of the Ragusan territory, which have delighted our palates.
At the end of the lunch, the very kind owner of the restaurant mr. Giuseppe FIACCAVENTO, invited us to visit a very particular exhibition of “cribs” he created.
And this time we also reached the end of these two days that we have happily spent together, and ready to return to their homes, we meet at the next meeting of the year, which will make us meet in the province of Messina on 12 and 13 April for the “Fiumara d’Arte” meeting.
