E siamo arrivati al 5° Meeting della stagione 2025 del Sicilia Smart Club!
27 equipaggi sono confluiti per questo Meeting tra sabato 14 e domenica 15 Giugno a Nicosia, in provincia di Enna.
Già sabato mattina parecchi degli equipaggi partecipanti al meeting sono confluiti sul posto dalle varie province siciliane e, appena arrivati abbiamo raggiunto il birrificio artigianale 24 Baroni che abbiamo visitato con la sapiente guida del bravissimo Antonio CONSENTINO che ci ha spiegato passo passo tutte le fasi della lavorazione delle loro buonissime birre, che abbiamo poi degustato sul posto accompagnate da vari stuzzichini appositamente preparati, ed abbiamo anche fatto buona scorta delle loro buonissime birre artigianali, uniche nel loro genere.
Successivamente abbiamo raggiunto la centralissima Piazza Garibaldi, ed abbiamo posizionato le vetture partecipanti in esposizione nell’apposita area riservataci dal Comune di Nicosia, e abbiamo visitato l’infiorata in allestimento lungo il Viale Fratelli Testa.
Domenica mattina siamo stati raggiunti dal resto degli equipaggi partecipanti ed abbiamo raggiunto il Comune di Sperlinga dove erano previste due visite ed una degustazione.
Giunti sul posto, e posizionate le vetture nell’apposita area riservataci dal Comune, siamo stati raggiunti dall’Assessore Dott. Salvatore CASTIGLIA a cui abbiamo consegnato una targa ricordo e ricevuto un emblema del Comune di Sperlinga che esporremo nella nostra sede.
Subito dopo, abbiamo degustato il dolce tipico di Sperlinga, il TORTONE, sapientemente preparato dalla carissima Luisa SPAGNA che ci ha deliziato con la bontà dei suoi prodotti.
Ci ha quindi raggiunto la nostra guida per la visita al Castello, il bravissimo Salvatore LO PINZINO che ci ha magnificamente esposte tutta la storia e le peculiarità del Castello prima, e dell’antichissimo borgo rupestre.
Ultimate le visite, abbiamo raggiunto l’ultima meta del meeting, il Ristorante Villa Bruno a Nicosia, dove il grande Francesco VITALE insieme al suo staff come di consueto non si è smentito, mettendoci a disposizione i suoi “Gran Buffet” relativi agli antipasti, alle carni alla brace ed alla frutta e dolci.
Durante il pranzo, abbiamo festeggiato il 60° Compleanno del nostro caro Presidente, testimoniandogli la nostra stima con una lunga serie di regali, che potrete visionare nei video.
A Villa Bruno ci ha raggiunto anche il Sindaco di Nicosia, il Dott. Luigi BONELLI, insieme all’Assessore Dott. Dario SCINARDI ed alla Consigliera Dott.ssa Arianna DE LUCA, e ci hanno omaggiato dello stemma araldico del Comune di Nicosia che esporremo nella nostra sede operativa.
Ed a questo meeting abbiamo finalmente consegnato il “Premio GOURMET 2024” al vincitore, ed anche per l’anno 2024, per il secondo anno consecutivo, si è aggiudicato il primo posto “VILLA BRUNO, di VITALE Francesco”!!!!
A fine pranzo quindi Torta di Compleanno per il 60° del nostro Presidente e, non poteva mancare lo spumante “PRINCIPE DI CORLEONE” assiduo partner del Club!
E siamo quindi arrivati alla fine di questi due giorni che abbiamo felicemente trascorso insieme, e pronti per effettuare il rientro alle proprie abitazioni, ci diamo appuntamento al prossimo Meeting dell’anno, che ci farà reincontrare a Contessa Entellina il 26 e 27 Luglio in occasione dell’evento internazionale “WINE FEST 2025”.

And we arrived at the 5th meeting of the 2025 season of Sicily Smart Club!
27 crews were merged for this meeting between Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 June in Nicosia, in the province of Enna.
Already on Saturday morning several of the crews participating in the meeting were merged on the spot by the various Sicilian provinces and, as soon as we arrived, we reached the 24 barons craft brewery that we visited with the sapiente guide of the talented Antonio allowed that he explained to us step by step all the phases of the processing of their delicious beers, which we then tasted on the spot accompanied by various appetizers specifically prepared, and we also made good. their delicious craft beers, unique in their kind.
Subsequently we reached the central Piazza Garibaldi, and we positioned the participating cars on display in the appropriate area reserved for us by the Municipality of Nicosia, and we visited the infiorata in the setting along the Viale Fratelli Testa.
On Sunday morning we were reached by the rest of the participating crews and we reached the municipality of Sperlinga where two visits and a tasting were scheduled.
Once on the spot, and position the cars in the appropriate area reserved for us by the Municipality, we were reached by the commissioner Salvatore Castiglia to whom we have delivered a souvenir plaque and received an emblem of the Municipality of Sperlinga that we will exhibit in our office.
Immediately after, we tasted the typical dessert of Sperlinga, the Tortone, expertly prepared by the dear Luisa Spain who delighted us with the goodness of its products.
We then reached our guide to visit the castle, the talented Salvatore Lo Pinzino who has magnificently exposed us all the history and peculiarities of the castle before, and the ancient rock village.
Ultimate the visits, we reached the last destination of the meeting, the Villa Bruno restaurant in Nicosia, where the great Francesco Vitale together with his staff as usual did not deny himself, making available to us his “great buffets” relating to appetizers, grilled meats and fruit and sweets.
During lunch, we celebrated the 60th birthday of our dear president, testifying to him our esteem with a long series of gifts, which you can view in the videos.
The mayor of Nicosia, Dr. Luigi Bonelli, also joined Villa Bruno, together with the commissioner Dario Scinardi and the councilor Arianna De Luca, and paid homage to the heraldic coat of arms of the Municipality of Nicosia that we will exhibit in our operational headquarters.
And to this meeting we finally delivered the “2024 Gourmet Prize” to the winner, and also for the year 2024, for the second consecutive year, it was awarded the first place “Villa Bruno, of Vitale Francesco” !!!!
At the end of the lunch, therefore, the birthday cake for the 60th anniversary of our president and, the “Prince of Corleone” sparkling wine could not be missing assiduous partner of the club!
And therefore we arrived at the end of these two days that we happily spent together, and ready to return to their homes, we meet the next meeting of the year, which will make us meet the Countess Entellina on 26 and 27 July on the occasion of the international event “Wine Fest 2025”.
