Buon Compleanno Sicilia Smart Club!!!!
Anno nuovo, nuovi Meeting e, come già anticipato abbiamo aperto la stagione 2022 festeggiando il 20 Febbraio il 5° Compleanno del Club e, per evitare assembramenti abbiamo deciso di suddividere l’evento su due località.
I soci della Sicilia Occidentale si sono ritrovati quindi a Palermo, provenienti dalla provincia omonima e dalle province di Caltanissetta ed Agrigento e dopo aver “battezzato” apponendo il logo del Club le smart di due dei nuovi soci abbiamo effettuato un piccolo giro della citta’ e tutti insieme abbiamo intrapreso la famosa “salita di Montepellegrino” storico tracciato della gara di cronoscalata che annualmente veniva effettuata.
Raggiunta la terrazza superiore del monte, ove è ubicata la statua di Santa Rosalia, protettrice della città di Palermo (ed il vicino santuario che però a causa delle restrizioni ancora vigenti non abbiamo potuto visitare) abbiamo esposto le vetture e sostato per qualche foto dopodiché siamo ritornati a Palermo dove il nostro carissimo amico Antonio, Chef del rinomato Ristorante “ Napule e’ “ ci attendeva per farci degustare il suo menù appositamente creato per l’occasione.
Degustato il tutto siamo arrivati al momento della consegna dei gadget e delle tessere sociali del club ai soci presenti quindi è arrivato il momento della buonissima torta realizzata dal nostro espertissimo pasticcere e carissimo amico “Tonino” della famosissima “Pasticceria COGA” che abbiamo accompagnato brindando con il Top dei vini spumanti…..”Principe di Corleone” della cantina POLLARA di Corleone che ringraziamo per la loro costante collaborazione.
Al contempo anche a Nicolosi si svolgevano i festeggiamenti per il 5° Compleanno del Club ed alcuni tra i soci della provincia di Catania si sono riuniti nella bellissima località di Nicolosi hanno provveduto a battezzare anche li due Smart di due dei nuovi soci presenti al meeting e dopo aver degustato le specialità culinarie del ristorante “Antichi proverbi” festeggiato con un’altra buonissima torta e brindato anche loro con il ”Principe di Corleone”, hanno effettuato un tour fotografico nella zona e consegnato i gadget e le tessere del 2022 ai soci presenti.
Tutto è andato bene come da programma e non ci è rimasto che salutarci dandoci appuntamento al prossimo Meeting del Sicilia Smart Club che si terrà nel mese di Aprile in provincia di Catania…

Happy Birthday Sicilia Smart Club!!!!
New year, new Meetings and, as already anticipated, we opened the 2022 season celebrating the 5th Birthday of the Club on February 20th and, to avoid gatherings, we decided to divide the event into two locations.
The members of Western Sicily then found themselves in Palermo, coming from the province of the same name and from the provinces of Caltanissetta and Agrigento and after having “baptized” by affixing the logo of the Club the smart of two of the new members we made a small tour of the city and all together we undertook the famous “climb of Montepellegrino” historical track of the time trial race that was carried out annually.
Reached the upper terrace of the mountain, where the statue of Santa Rosalia is located, protector of the city of Palermo (and the nearby sanctuary that however due to the restrictions still in force we could not visit) we exposed the cars and stopped for some photos after which we returned to Palermo where our dear friend Antonio, Chef of the renowned Restaurant “Napule e'” was waiting for us to taste his menu specially created for the occasion.
Having tasted everything we arrived at the time of delivery of the gadgets and social cards of the club to the members present so it was time for the delicious cake made by our expert pastry chef and dear friend “Tonino” of the famous “Pasticceria COGA” that we accompanied toasting with the Top of sparkling wines …..” Principe di Corleone” of the POLLARA winery in Corleone which we thank for their constant collaboration.
At the same time also in Nicolosi the celebrations for the 5th Birthday of the Club took place and some of the members of the province of Catania gathered in the beautiful town of Nicolosi they also baptized the two Smart of two of the new members present at the meeting and after tasting the culinary specialties of the restaurant “Antichi proverbi” celebrated with another delicious cake and toasted them too with the “Prince of Corleone”, they carried out a photographic tour in the area and delivered the gadgets and cards of 2022 to the members present.
Everything went well as scheduled and we just had to say goodbye by giving us an appointment at the next Meeting of the Sicilia Smart Club to be held in April in the province of Catania …
