Interessantissimo Meeting all’interno del bellissimo itinerario museale all’aperto, costituito da una serie di sculture, installazioni di land art e decorazioni d’interni realizzate da artisti contemporanei a partire dal 1982 e collocate lungo gli argini del fiume Tusa nei comuni di Castel di Lucio, Mistretta, Motta D’Affermo, Pettineo, Reitano e Tusa.
Gli equipaggi provenienti dalle provincie più lontane sono giunti sul posto già sabato 8 Giugno ed hanno pernottao nel rinomato Tus’Hotel di Castel di Tusa, ed i nostri ringraziamenti vanno al Direttore dell’Hotel Dott. Daniele NIGRELLI a cui abbiamo consegnato una targa ricordo dell’evento, a tutto lo staff ed agli Chef che sia per la cena di sabato che per il pranzo di Domenica hanno dato il meglio di se con due menù appositamente creati per l’evento.
Domenica mattina il Tour è iniziato dall’opera installata nel 1989 dall’Artista Tano FESTA “Monumento per un poeta morto” meglio conosciuta come “La finestra sul mare”, e da li grazie alle sapienti descrizioni del Presidente della Pro Loco di Motta d’Affermo Dott. Antonino NOTO, abbiamo proseguito il nostro tour con le successive tappe, tra cui l’adiacente “Borgo Marinaro”.
Sosta alla successiva opera, installata nel 1986 dall’Artista Pietro CONSAGRA, dal titolo “La materia poteva non esserci”, per poi raggiungere la terza opera installata nel 1990 dall’Artista Antonio di PALMA, un’installazione di cemento armato che ricrea “un’Onda del mare alta 5 metri di colore blu Klein, che costituisce “un guizzo di energia in mezzo alla natura selvaggia” e denominata “Energia Mediterranea”.
Successivamente abbiamo raggiunto la quarta ed ultima tappa di questo odierno tour, l’opera installata nel 2010 dall’Artista Mauro STACCIOLI e denominata “38° Parallelo – Piramide”, opera tra le più affascinanti e misteriose, costituita da una piramide di acciaio posta su un’altura che domina su buona parte della costa ed è posta in corrispondenza esatta del 38° parallelo. In corrispondenza del solstizio d’estate, a giugno si svolge il “rito della luce”, con i raggi solari che ne illuminano l’interno.
Ritornati quindi dopo le interessantissime visite al Tus’Hotel abbiamo gustato le specialità locali e, dopo aver consegnato una targa ricordo al Dott. Antonino NOTO, ci siamo ripromessi di ritornare il prossimo anno per visitare le restanti opere di Fiumara d’Arte.
Un particolare ringraziamento ai nostri referenti Provinciali Gianluca LA SPINA ed Elio CARUSO che si sono avvalsi della collaborazione dell’Amico Giuseppe BOSCIA per l’organizzazione di questa splendido Meeting in provincia di Messina.
Ed anche questo quinto Meeting è giunto al termine, e ci avviamo tutti per il rientro a casa.
Buona visione e vi attendiamo al prossimo importantissimo Meeting “INTERNAZIONALE” che vedrà partecipi i Club Smart Europei e non solo che si terrà dall’11 al 14 Luglio lungo un interessantissimo percorso che si snoderà tra le provincie di Palermo ed Agrigento!
Very interesting meeting within the beautiful open-air museum itinerary, consisting of a series of sculptures, land art installations and interior decorations created by contemporary artists since 1982 and located along the banks of the Tusa river in the municipalities of Castel di Lucio, Mistretta, Motta D’Affermo, Pettineo, Reitano and Tusa.
The crews coming from the most distant provinces arrived on site already on Saturday 8 June and stayed overnight in the renowned Tus’Hotel in Castel di Tusa, and our thanks go to the Director of the Hotel Dr. Daniele NIGRELLI to whom we gave a commemorative plaque of the event, to all the staff and chefs who gave their best for both Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch with two menus specifically created for the event.
On Sunday morning the Tour started from the work installed in 1989 by the artist Tano FESTA “Monument for a dead poet” better known as “The window on the sea”, and from there thanks to the expert descriptions of the President of the Pro Loco of Motta d’ I affirm Dr. Antonino NOTO, we continued our tour with the following stops, including the adjacent “Borgo Marinaro”.
Stop at the next work, installed in 1986 by the artist Pietro CONSAGRA, entitled “Matter could not be there”, and then reach the third work installed in 1990 by the artist Antonio di PALMA, a reinforced concrete installation that recreates “a ‘5 meter high sea wave of Klein blue colour, which constitutes “a flash of energy in the midst of wild nature” and called “Mediterranean Energy”.
Subsequently we reached the fourth and final stop of this tour today, the work installed in 2010 by the artist Mauro STACCIOLI and called “38° Parallel – Pyramid”, one of the most fascinating and mysterious works, consisting of a steel pyramid placed on a hill that dominates a good part of the coast and is located exactly at the 38th parallel. Corresponding to the summer solstice, the “rite of light” takes place in June, with the sun’s rays illuminating the interior.
Having returned after the very interesting visits to the Tus’Hotel, we tasted the local specialties and, after presenting a souvenir plaque to Dr. Antonino NOTO, we promised ourselves to return next year to visit the remaining works of Fiumara d’Arte.

And this fifth Meeting has also come to an end, and we are all heading home.
